Travel Details

The arrangement of buses at designated places will be made by the organization. These buses will take the travelers from the railway station to the temples and bring them back to the station after the visit. For places without proper signage, the distance from the temple to the station is negligible, so travelers can reach those places on foot or by rickshaw (at their own expense). This way, travelers will have to walk very little.

During the travel period, breakfast will consist of bed tea, chai (tea) and snacks in the morning, followed by lunch and dinner in the afternoon and evening. Each meal will include one type of dal (lentils), one vegetable, rice, and roti (bread). Evening tea will also be provided. The use of pure ghee will be included in roti, dal, and rice, while refined oil will be used in snacks, vegetables, and puris. Both Basmati and non-Basmati rice will be served based on availability. Depending on the availability of resources, pickles, papad, sweets, and salads will also be served with the meals. Onions and garlic will be excluded from the meals. The meals will be prepared as pure vegetarian on a wood-fired stove. Each traveler will be provided with a bottle of mineral water during lunch and dinner.

Travelers should bring two passport-sized photos, original voter card, and original Aadhar card with them. Please ensure that each traveler carries a glass, spoon, plastic bucket, mug, a plastic seat (3x3 feet) for washing and bathing purposes, a plastic rope for drying clothes, and a bedsheet (according to the weather) during the journey.

For the safety of travelers and their belongings, the committee will arrange sufficient individuals to prepare and serve tea, snacks, and meals during the train journey. No traveler should wear gold or silver jewelry during the trip. Travelers will be responsible for any financial or physical harm and the safety of their belongings during the journey. The organizing committee will not be liable for any losses incurred by travelers.

During the train journey, arrangements will be made for each traveler to have a complete berth for sleeping. No extra bed will be placed between the seats in the compartment. Each compartment will be three-tier sleeper class. Travelers are advised to carry their own bedding (according to the weather) for the train journey. In places where the train is not available, the committee will make arrangements for travelers to stay overnight in guest houses.

Our journey will have only basic medical facilities available. Travelers who regularly take medicines should bring their medications with them as per the travel program's days. In case of any medical need during the journey, the traveler can arrange for hospital/doctor facilities at their own expense, according to their convenience. Travelers will be responsible for any sudden accidents or natural disasters during the journey. Each compartment will have a charging board for mobile phones, but the responsibility for mobile security will be with the traveler.

Elderly and single women can comfortably undertake the journey as the atmosphere during the journey is just like being at home with family, so they will not feel lonely.

For those who want to avail L.T.C./L.F.C. facilities, the committee will provide the travel receipt, travel certificate, and a copy of the railway's travel program. However, the responsibility for claiming L.T.C./L.F.C. lies with the traveler and not the committee.

Travelers are required to carry cash or a bank draft/cheque in favor of 'Shri Shivshankar Yatra (Reg. No.)' for the remaining amount to be paid.
