Travel Details

Buses will be arranged by the organization at designated locations. These buses will take the travelers from the railway station to the temples and bring them back to the station after sightseeing. For places without designated markers, the distance from the temple to the station is not significant, and travelers can reach those places on foot or by rickshaw (at their own expense). This way, travelers will have to walk very little.

During the journey, travelers will be provided with bed tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meal will consist of one lentil dish, one vegetable dish, rice, and chapati. Evening tea will also be served. Ghee will be used in rice, lentil, and chapati, while refined oil will be used in snacks and puri. Basmati rice will be served at both meal times. Based on availability, pickle, papad, dessert, and salad will also be provided with meals. Onion and garlic will be excluded from the food. The meals will be vegetarian and cooked on a wood stove. Each traveler will also be given a bottle of mineral water during lunch and dinner.

Travelers must carry two passport-size photos, original voter card, and original Aadhar card during the journey. Each traveler should also bring along a glass, a spoon, a plastic bucket, mug, plastic seat (3x3 feet), cloth for washing and bathing, and a bedsheet (according to weather conditions).

For the safety of travelers' belongings, adequate arrangements for making tea, snacks, and meals during the train journey and sightseeing will be made by the organizing committee. Travelers are advised not to bring gold and silver jewelry during the journey. Travelers are responsible for their financial, physical, and luggage security during the journey. The organizing committee will not be responsible for any losses incurred by the travelers.

During the train journey, arrangements for a full berth will be made for each traveler. No seating arrangement will be placed between the seats in the compartment. Each compartment will have three-tier sleeper class berths. Travelers are required to carry their own bedding (according to weather conditions) during the train journey. In places where there are no trains, accommodation arrangements for travelers' overnight stays will be made at guest houses by the organizing committee.

We provide only general medical facilities during our journey. Travelers who regularly take medication should carry their medicines with them according to the travel program's days. In case of any medical need during the journey, the traveler can arrange for hospital/doctor facilities at their own expense, according to their convenience. Travelers will be responsible for unforeseen accidents and natural disasters during the journey. Each compartment will have a charging board for mobile charging, but travelers are responsible for the security of their mobile phones.

Elderly and single women can comfortably travel in our journey. The atmosphere during the journey is similar to home, so they will not feel lonely or uncomfortable.

Travelers availing this facility will be provided with the travel receipt, travel certificate, and a copy of the railway's travel program. However, the responsibility of providing L.T.C. lies with the traveler and not with the organizing committee.

Travelers are advised to carry cash or a bank draft/cheque made in the name of "Shri Shiv Shankar Tirth Yatra (Reg. No.)" for their outstanding balance. The draft/cheque can be drawn from any bank at the Rishikesh branch.

Travelers must adhere to the following rules:

Travelers are required to strictly follow all the rules set by the Railway Department for special travel (regarding luggage, railway time table and bogie checking). The complete adherence to these rules is mandatory for all travelers. Any dispute will be settled within the jurisdiction of Rishikesh (Dehradun) only. Disputes arising within the Consumer Committee will also be resolved within the jurisdiction of Rishikesh (Dehradun).

Travelers are requested to inform the head office after making their booking so that there is no possibility of any errors. When booking the seat, travelers should carefully read and understand the name and photo of the founder Shri Lalacharan Lal Agarwal and the name of the travel organization before proceeding.

Each traveler must follow the timetable strictly. If anyone gets separated from the group due to any reason, they will have to reach the next station/destination at their own expense. Travelers who have infectious diseases, consume intoxicating substances, or are quarrelsome will have their right to continue the journey revoked at the discretion of the organizer.

If a traveler, for any reason or due to illness, decides to return home before completing the journey, the organizer will provide only a Three Tier Sleeper Class train ticket to reach home. No refund will be given under any circumstances. This arrangement will be applicable only until 5 days before the end of the journey.

Travel arrangements are dependent on the availability and timing of the train. Therefore, in case of delayed trains, flight delays, bus breakdowns, railway changes, bad weather, weekly holidays, strikes, rallies, or any situation where sightseeing at a particular place is not possible, the organization/organizer may make necessary changes in the itinerary. Travelers are requested to cooperate and support the arrangements during such circumstances.

During the journey, the manager will try to provide maximum facilities to the travelers, but some inconvenience is natural during travel. At that time, as the saying goes, "paradesh naresh kaaleshan," please bear with it in a spirit of austerity and provide full cooperation to the organizer. For any errors in printing, kindly forgive us.

Rules for Cancellation of the Journey: If a traveler wishes to cancel their booked seat for any reason, they must provide written notice at least 12 days prior to the departure date of the journey. In such a case, the advance amount (after deducting the cancellation fee of railway reservation) will be refunded. If the written notice is not received at least 12 days before the departure date, the advance amount will not be refunded. If the booking is done within the last 12 days before the journey date and the traveler cancels their seat, the advance amount will not be refunded. If the traveler cancels the journey by providing notice up to 5 days before the journey date, the organization legally reserves the right to charge the full fare of the journey from the traveler. No exceptions will be made in this regard.
