Travel Details

Buses will be arranged by the organization at designated locations. These buses will take the travelers from the railway station to the temples and bring them back to the station after sightseeing. For places without designated markers, the distance from the temple to the station is not significant, and travelers can reach those places on foot or by rickshaw (at their own expense). This way, travelers will have to walk very little.

During the journey, pilgrims will be provided with morning bed tea, tea/coffee, and snacks. Lunch and dinner will consist of one type of lentil, one vegetable dish, rice, and chapati. Evening tea will also be served. Ghee will be used in rice, lentils, and chapatis, while refined oil will be used in snacks, vegetables, and puris. Both Basmati and non-Basmati rice will be available depending on the availability. Depending on the availability, pickle, papad, sweet, and salad will be served along with the meals. Onions and garlic will be excluded from the food. The meals will be prepared on a pure vegetarian wood stove. Each pilgrim will be provided with a bottle of mineral water during lunch and dinner.

Each pilgrim must carry two passport-sized photos, original voter card, and original Aadhar card. Additionally, please bring along the following items: a glass, a spoon, a plastic bucket, mug, a plastic seat (3x3 feet) for washing and bathing, a plastic rope for drying clothes, and bedding (as per weather conditions).

For the safety of the pilgrims, the committee will arrange sufficient individuals for making and serving tea, snacks, and meals on the train. No traveler should wear gold or silver jewelry. During the journey, the responsibility for financial and physical losses as well as the traveler's belongings lies with the traveler. The organizing committee will not be responsible for any losses incurred by the travelers.

For rail travel, each traveler will have a complete berth for sleeping. No benches will be placed between the seat berths in the compartments. Each compartment will have sleeper class coaches. Travelers should bring their own bedding (according to the weather conditions) for the train journey. Where the train is not available, arrangements for overnight stay will be made in guesthouses by the committee.

Our journey will have only basic medical facilities. Travelers who regularly take medication should carry their medicines according to the itinerary of the journey. In case of any medical need during the journey, the traveler can arrange for hospital/doctor facilities at their own expense, according to their convenience. Travelers will be responsible for sudden accidents and natural calamity compensation during the journey. Each compartment of every coach will have a charging board for mobiles, but the safety of the mobile will be the responsibility of the traveler.

Elderly individuals and solo female travelers can comfortably undertake our journey. The atmosphere of the journey is homely, resembling a family environment, ensuring that there is no feeling of loneliness.

For those eligible for L.T.C. (Leave Travel Concession) / L.F.C. (Leave Fare Concession), we will provide the necessary documents such as the travel receipt, travel certificate, and a copy of the railway's travel program. However, the responsibility of obtaining L.T.C. lies with the travelers and not with the organizing institution.

Travelers are advised to carry cash or any bank draft/cheque in the name of "Shri Shiv Shankar Tirth Yatra (Rajguru)" drawn on Rishikesh branch to settle their remaining dues.
