To make an advance booking, ₹1,001/- per traveler should be deposited in cash or online into the 'Shri Shiv Shankar Tirth Yatra' account at SBI Bank in Rishikesh. The remaining amount will be collected after boarding the train. If you wish to travel to or from Kathmandu via airplane, it can be arranged separately at ₹4,000 (one way) per traveler.

Travel Details

Buses will be arranged by the organization at designated locations. These buses will take the passengers from the railway station to the temple parking and from there will take them back to the station. For places without designated markers, the distance from the temple to the station is not significant, and travelers can reach those places on foot or by rickshaw (at their own expense). This way, travelers will have to walk very little.

During the journey, we will provide breakfast, tea/snacks in the morning, and lunch and dinner in the afternoon and evening. The meals will consist of one lentil dish, one vegetable dish, rice, and chapati. Tea will be served in the evening. We will use pure ghee in the rice, lentils, and chapati, and refined oil in the snacks, vegetable dish, and puri. Basmati rice will be served at both meal times. Depending on availability, we will also provide pickles, papad, sweets, and salad along with the meals. The use of onions and garlic will be avoided. The meals will be prepared as pure vegetarian on a traditional wood-fired stove. For lunch and dinner, each traveler will be provided with a bottle of mineral water.

Travelers must carry two passport-sized photos, original voter card, and original Aadhaar card with them. Please bring a glass, a spoon, a plastic bucket, a mug, a 3x3 feet plastic sheet for washing and bathing purposes, a plastic rope for drying clothes, and a sleeping mat (according to weather conditions).

For the security of travelers and their belongings, the committee will arrange sufficient individuals to prepare and serve tea, snacks, and meals during the train journey. Travelers are advised not to wear gold or silver jewelry. Each traveler will be responsible for their financial and physical well-being and their belongings during the journey. The committee will not be responsible for any losses incurred by the travelers.

During the train journey, each traveler will be provided with a full berth for sleeping. No folding beds will be placed between seats in the compartment. Each compartment will have a three-tier sleeper class. Travelers are advised to bring their own bedding (according to weather conditions). For locations where the train is not available, the committee will arrange accommodation for travelers to stay overnight at guesthouses.

Our journey will provide only basic medical facilities. Travelers who regularly take medication should carry their medicines with them according to the itinerary. In case of any medical need during the journey, the traveler can arrange for hospital/doctor facilities at their own expense, according to their convenience. Travelers will be responsible for any unforeseen accidents or natural calamities during the journey. Each compartment will have a charging board for mobile phones, but the safety of mobile phones will be the responsibility of the travelers.

Unaccompanied elderly individuals and women can also comfortably undertake this journey. The atmosphere of the journey is akin to being in a home-like family setting, so they won't feel any sense of loneliness or discomfort.

Travelers who are eligible for L.T.C./L.F.C. facility will be provided with the necessary documents, including the travel receipt, travel certificate, and a copy of the railway's travel program. However, the responsibility of availing the L.T.C. facility lies with the travelers and not with the organization.

Travelers are advised to carry the remaining amount to pay for their travel fare in cash or get a draft/cheque made in the name of 'Shri Shiv Shankar Tirth Yatra (Rajeev Branch), Rishikesh' while on the journey.
